Best Time to Book Umrah Packages

Every devoted Muslim understands that Hajj is obligatory for every capable Muslim once in his or her lifetime. Hajj is performed each year in the month of Dhul Hajj. The reservations of Hajj are made well in advance due to the very high amount of people visiting Hajj annually and each year the amount of pilgrims increases. Umrah on the other hand differs as it can be carried out at anytime of the year. In the months of Ramadhan, every Muslim needs to perform Umrah because as narrated by this Hadith:
Sahih Albukhari.
According to the current Saudi Government rules, anyone who wants to perform Umrah must reserve their Umrah with licensed and accredited Umrah agents in their regional countries. This provides the pilgrim an chance to reserve their complete package including flight bookings, accommodation and transport etc.. The new rules prohibit any pilgrim from moving to Umrah without booking with an Umrah agent. There are many Hajj and Umrah packagesextended by many of representatives around the world. Throughout the Umrah season the agents usually get over reserved particularly for the month of Ramadhan. Some hotels that are near the Holy Masjid in Makkah are reserved months ahead of time.

The Do’s and Don’ts of Umrah

For many Muslims annually, the Umrah they move on are their first. However, it still needs plenty of planning and preparation. Here are a few do's and don'ts for those undergoing Umrah for the first time.
Do: Bring Novels
Not only can it improve the religious experience you have when you're there, it may also help while away the many hours you'll spend waiting in airports and hotels as you finish Umrah.
Don't: Socialize, Litter or Behave Anti-Socially
Umrah is a sacred time for everybody involved with the sacred pilgrimage, even if you aren't in a holy site or getting involved in the Umrah rites. For some individuals, especially the old or young, this might be the only time they get the opportunity to make the pilgrimage, and they shouldn't have it spoiled by careless behaviour. It's very important to follow the rules and traditions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and to act with the respect and appreciate that Muhammad (PBUH) showed.

Blessed Places Where Dua’as are Accepted

Each Dua and Supplication produced by the Muslims into the Allah Almighty must be produced out of the belief it will be confessed by our merciful Lord if it's in the very best of our worries.
"Your Lord, the Blessed and the Exalted One, is Modest and Generous, and He loathes to turn off His slave empty-handed when he lifts his hands in supplication." (Narrated by Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah.)
But, there are several Times and particular places especially in Makkah and Medina where one's Dua is surely accepted.
  • Each Muslim understands that if he'll make a supplication facing Ka'aba or by where Ka'aba is observable, there's absolutely no possibility that his supplication won't be granted.
  • When performing Tawaf & Sa’ee.
  • On the hills and in between the hills of Safa and Marwa.
"Verily supplication is worship."

How to perform Umrah

Umrah is known to be the minor Hajj and is a Sunnah act performed at any time of the year except for the five days of Hajj, in which it is makrooh, or disliked, to perform Umrah.

1. Before setting off from home

  • Make Ghusl (full body wash)
  • Trim your nails, and remove your pubic hair.
  • Whatever Salah is due at the time of travel, ensure it has been prayed in full before setting off
  • Read 2 rakaats of Travelling Salah before setting off
  • When going out of your house/hotel, say:

Bismillahi, Tawakkaltu, 'a lallahi, walaahawlawalaaquwattaillahbillah
(In the name of Allah, I place my trust in Allah, and there is no might nor power except with Allah)
Read Du'aa of Travelling, before
Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar. Subhaa nalathee, Sakha ra la naa ha thaawamaakunaa, lahumuq ri nee nawainnaailaarabbinaa la mun qa le boon
(Allah is the greatest x3, How perfect He is, The One Who has place this (transport) at our service, and we ourselves wouldnot have been capable of that, and to our Lord if our final destiny.)
At a journey break, you may say:
A'uthoo bi kalimaatillaah hitammaati min sharrimaakhalaq
(I take refuge in Allaah's perfect words from the evil that He has created.)
NB.During your journey keep yourself in the remembrance of Allah (make dhikr, make dua, read Quran, read Islamic Book etc.).Remember this is the start of your journey to the House of Allah, and you have been given an invitation from Mlik Al Mulk(Owner and King of all Kingdoms), so Praise and Glorify Him. Once you are a traveler (having left your areas of residence), and the next Salah is due, you can combine and shorten them asthis is a concession from Allah.

  • Dhur (2 Rakaats) &Asr (2 Rakaats) together
  • Maghrib (3 Rakaats) &Ishaa (2 Rakaats) together
  • Read as many Sunnah/Nawafil as you like, there is no restriction.

2. Before passing the Meeqat (the place where the Umrah starts, and one enters the state of Ihram)

When going to Jeddah by an airplane, it is convenient to get into the status of Ihram inside the plane. Here is what you do. Do everything mentioned above at home or at the airport except Niyyah (intention) and Talbiyah which is done at or before the boundary line called Meeqat
