I performed Umrah in April 2017 and I spent five days in Makkah and five days in Medinah. Luckily enough my husband, daughter, two sons and I went when the weather was bearably hot and we were able to enjoy our experience and visit Masjid Al Haram every day.
Before we went to Makkah, the waiting was unbearable because we were all so excited to visit the holy city and when the day finally arrived, I felt mixed feelings….what was it going to be like?, what if I didn’t perform Umrah in the best way possible? and most importantly would it be plain sailing with three children? Although these anguishes were in my mind, alhumdillah everything went smoothly and the experience was prodigious.
We had an indirect flight to Saudi Arabia, first we stopped in Beirut, where we changed in to our clothes for Umrah and prayed with intention to complete Umrah and then we arrived in Jeddah and went to perform Umrah in Mekkah. I remember saying talbiyah “Labbaika la shareeka laka labbaik. Innal hamda wal ni’matha laka wal mulk, laa shareeka lak.”
I believe you have mentioned some very interesting points, regards for the post.
